Export of crops
Due to favorable natural conditions and developed agrarian infrastructure, Northern Kazakhstan is an important center of grain crop production for both domestic consumption and export.
The main crops grown for export are wheat (hard and soft), barley, lentils, peas and flax.
The region is dominated by chernozems and sierozems, which are considered to be among the most fertile soils. These soils contain a large amount of nutrients necessary for the growth of grain crops and retain moisture well, which is especially important in conditions of possible summer drought.
Horizon-Petropavlovsk LLP is one of the well-known exporters of grain crops from North Kazakhstan (NKR) which is actively engaged in growing, processing, storing and supplying high quality grain in large volumes to the international market.
The company selects high quality wheat varieties that are suitable for the climatic conditions of the NKR. Special attention is paid to sowing dates and maintaining soil fertility, including through the use of fertilizers.
The grain growing process includes weed and pest control, as well as monitoring of soil and crop conditions.
Harvesting is done at the optimal time to minimize losses and preserve grain quality. Afterwards, the grain undergoes an initial quality check for moisture, cleanliness and gluten content.
At the processing stage, the grain is cleaned of impurities and sorted by quality. This is important to meet international standards and customer requirements.
The company has its own elevators and grain storage facilities. Grain is stored under controlled conditions of temperature and humidity to avoid spoilage.
Quality control systems are used at all stages of operation - from cultivation to export. This ensures that products meet the requirements of customers and the standards of importing countries. Laboratory tests of grain for gluten content, moisture content and other parameters are regularly conducted.
