Exported wheat varies in grades and quality:

Durum wheat. It is used in the production of high quality products such as pasta and flour. Durum wheat is stored in special elevators or granaries where low moisture levels are maintained. For export, wheat can be shipped in whole-grain or coarse form.

Soft wheat. It is used mainly for the production of bakery products, confectionery products and various flours. Soft wheat grain has a looser structure compared to durum wheat. Stored in special granaries or elevators, it is important to avoid overheating of the grain.

Spring wheat. It differs from winter wheat in sowing dates, growing season and a number of other characteristics. It is sown in the spring and harvested in the fall. Spring wheat is less resistant to cold weather and yields less. For long-term storage, spring wheat should be kept in cool and dry conditions.

Winter wheat. It is sown in the fall and matures and is harvested the following summer. Winter wheat yields are usually higher than spring wheat due to better utilization of fall and spring moisture.
